Sir Julian Brazier is a former Member of Parliament and Government Defence Minister. His interest in Lebanon goes back to his first visit to Beirut in 1990 on a lone fact-finding missing. Since then, he has visited Lebanon both as a backbencher and as a minister. He has assisted Lebanese politicians and pressure groups with activities in the UK.
His roles in Parliament included five years as opposition spokesman on shipping and aviation and nine years of service on the House of Commons Defence Committee.
